Who We Are

Face It Together Bemidji is a grassroots recovery-support nonprofit rooted in peer connection, compassion, and community. As a proud local chapter of the national Face It Together network, we offer free, confidential, and non‑judgmental peer recovery coaching to individuals impacted by substance use and their loved ones.

🌟 Our mission

We aim to reduce the stigma of addiction and help individuals and families navigate pathways to healing by:

  • Providing one-on-one coaching from peers in recovery who understand firsthand what you're going through

  • Offering weekly recovery support meetings, resources, and harm-reduction tools like Narcan and test strips.

  • Connecting people with community support through sober events, art gatherings, and resource services, all at no cost

💛 Why peer coaching?

Our recovery coaches are individuals with lived experience who serve as mentors, offering encouragement, accountability, and practical tools. Whether you’re exploring sobriety, managing use, or supporting a loved one, our coaches meet you where you are, offering guidance without judgment or rigid programs

🌱 Our story in Bemidji

Established in 2016 as the first Face It Together affiliate beyond South Dakota, we've grown into a trusted presence downtown, on Beltrami Avenue, opening our doors to hundreds of community members every year. What started as a small team of volunteers has become a cornerstone of local recovery:

  • A welcoming storefront that offers a safe, stigma-free environment

  • Weekly support gatherings for AA, NA, SMART Recovery, and more.

  • A free hygiene “resource store” for those facing housing insecurity.

🔗 Partnering for change

We collaborate with area providers like the Bemidji Area Program for Recovery, Leech Lake EMS, and Bemidji State University to deliver educational outreach, Narcan training, and community events, all aimed at saving lives and creating pathways toward wellness.

At Face It Together Bemidji, we believe in second chances. Whether you're seeking support, want to bolster your recovery, or stand ready to uplift a loved one, you don’t have to face this alone. Together, we rise, one step, one breath, one day at a time.
